The practice of telling the future by the means of different methods is called Divination. This art was a secret before and was practiced in many countries from the thousands of years. Divination plays an important role in every religion that exists in the world. Divination plays the role in not only for future, but also for healing, social problems, and for binding the community together. Divination has been in this role for years now and it is something that science won’t be able to define.

In the sense of the religion, Divination plays a religious role. Horoscopes, tarot cards, and palm reading are some of the most famous techniques of Divination which is used in almost every religion. The practice of Divination is very tough and only gifted human beings can do it. Those people are prophets, shamans, and magicians. They are also used to predict the future for the better or for the worse.

Present-day Divination was different than what it was in the past. But even with all the secrecy and the formulas known about Divination, the African system of this religious divination still can’t be explained. African theories about this are little known. It is said that one can leave its own body and be in the universe. Also, that the soul can do the same under circumstances. Like the position of being under shock, or being ill-treated by someone else can kill a man’s spirit. This is called the obi ifepu madu. Soul is free and can never be contained. Even after death, the soul enters in a new form of life.

Divination also states that the reality is contained in any of the parts. The biggest question that is asked by Divination is that does even GOD have a future. The philosophy of Divination in another way is to find the universal truth in one self. Numerology, a part of Divination is also the philosophy of calculating your life through the terms of numbers.
